I think you will need to give a little more information plus version of Joplin that you are using.

It does not appear possible. The Android app is VERY stripped down. At least we get to have the entire database local, unlike Evernote that wouldn't store it local on Android. But, you'll find many things that need to be done on the desktop instead of the Android app. It keeps getting better and we can enter notes, notebooks, and edit notes and see them properly. But it isn't as robust as the desktop versions.
