Current behaviour

The toggleSafeMode command gets triggered immediately after selecting text with the mouse.
Since the app automatically switches into safe mode once the issue happens, I cannot capture console output from the crash moment.
This problem persists even after all plugins have been fully disabled.

After an initial crash automatically switches the app to safe mode:

  1. If I manually switch back to normal mode and immediately select text inside the editor, the app will most likely auto-switch to safe mode again.
  2. However, after switching back to normal mode, pressing Ctrl+L to cycle through different layouts first, then selecting editor text afterward, the selection usually works fine without triggering safe mode, though this workaround does not succeed every single time.
