Brand-new user wants to know where is my joplin 'content'/data stored?

What issue do you have?

Greetings, I think my question is a simple one. Assuming that I haven't yet signed up for the Joplin cloud, where is my content or data stored, be it on my computer or elsewhere? And, connected to that is the place where my content is stored up to me? I mean can I change it or not? By the way, assuming that the app works out for me to set up by "Zettlekasten," or "second brain, I will invest in signing up for Joplin cloud! :slight_smile:

Please see https://discourse.joplinapp.org/t/joplin-database-and-profile-location/3264. Keep in mind though that the data is stored in a database which is supposed to be used with Joplin only, i.e. you need to use the Joplin application to actually access and modify your notes.
