Android App Fails "Sync Target Upgrade"

I am using Android app 2.6.3 on Android 11.
I am getting a yellow bar on top of my screen asking me to upgrade the sync target. When I click there, I get this error below. Any idea how to fix this? The PC (Windows) version works fine...

I just erased the data and cache on the android app settings and re-synched, all good now.

Not so long ago seemingly similar behaviour was reported here. Just linking the threads together

Could you try to delete the content of /locks on your sync target to see if it helps?

I tried it but it does not change anything.
