What issue do you have?

Situation
I am syncing Android, MacOS and Windows versions on three different devices.
I find the Windows version has many issues with syncing. As soon as I have captured a few notes from website, the Windows version has significant challenges to sync. It takes days and several restarts for it to finally complete the sync. In the mean time, the Android and Macos versions are missing notes.
I'd like to stop the Windows app to Nextcloud sync and target the local Nextcloud folder that is attached via network to my Windows PC.

Advice Request
I'd like to target the Windows app data store to be the locally attached Nextcloud folder and turn off the sync. This would change the behaviour from sync via webdav to Nextcloud to local update on the network attached Nextcloud folder. I would like to see if Joplin will not need as long and throw as many errors using this scenario.
Once the sync has finally completed for the Windows app, is it OK to just change the storage location or are there other things I need to take into account?
I assume that by connecting directly to the NextCloud folder that contains the present sync target will not delete any data?
Or should I do a fresh install and have the Win Joplin just target the local network connected Nextcloud store?

Thanks in advance.
