Would There Be Interest in a Ubuntu/Debian PPA?

Hey Joplin Community,

I love Joplin and use it almost daily for various projects.

One thing that I discovered was that Joplin does not have a PPA which means I have to manually update the version via tracking down releases.

Would there be any interest in me developing a PPA for Joplin for the Ubuntu/Debian folk? Thoughts?

Hi and welcome
Feel free to do that. Even if you don't received any response, it will benefit someone. At least you will use it

This would be great for me if it supports Linuxmint.

Ok - I attempted to go through the process of making a PPA. It is more complicated than I thought so I would need help as I do not have much band width to take this on. Anyone interested in working on it?

Yes a Ubuntu PPA would support Mint.

Not a PPA, but I may provide a repo (that works the same as a PPA to download and install .deb packages) to install it on Debian, Ubuntu and derivatives (LinuxMint included) soon:

If you install it on LinuxMint, please provide feedback in that thread, like if it worked or not. Thanks!
