the "about" popup is still opened
(Joplin v 1.201 on linux debian)
it's not a big deal but when You forgot you didnt close the about popup and, with firefox, try to clip a page , you are loosing you're mind (but what's happened?joplin is starting... 
That’s probably related to that frozen sync issue on Linux

Nope, ths happens on macOS as well. I’ve mentioned this about a year ago in an issue or a forum post. I can’t remember.
The About window blocks everything.

Could this have anything to do with why enabling and disabling Webclipper in options resets UI and fixes the Linux Kernel Freeze issue? If someone could test on Windows, that’d be useful too.
Hmmm, I don’t see how, but I could be wrong. I don’t have Windows so I can’t test on it.

What i meant is, there could be something wrong with how windows and the ui are handled causing unexpected behavior.
Probably best to create an issue about this in GitHub so that it can be tracked, especially if it can be replicated.
