Exactly as it says in the title—it would be cool if the web clipper could scan the URLs associated with existing notes and let the user know if there already is one associated with the current page. Then, perhaps the top button could be to go to the existing note(s) to see what has already been clipped.
This is not a bad idea, but a bit more complicated. Just because the page has been clipped already does not necessarily mean that a new processing is not wanted.
e.g. the web page could have been updated.
I agree, which is why I suggested it notify the user and give them the option to see the existing notes, rather than stopping them from clipping again if they want.
