I started using Typora as my external editor. When viewing a note, I can select the external editor icon and the note opens in Typora. I can edit the note but when I save the note and exit Typora, none of the edits are displayed in Joplin.
What am I missing here?

I’m very sorry that noone has replied so far, but I am not sure how someone would be able to. You haven’t specified the OS, nor what exactly you entered in settings.
I use Sublime Text on macOS without any issues, and a lot of people use Typora instead.
Without more info, there’s nothing we can do.
