Update for Joplin in Playstore

Hello there,
yesterday I got an update for Joplin via the Playstore. It is now version 2.10.8.
My question is, as dumb as it may seem, was this update deliberately? Because on GitHub 2.9.8 is the most recent stable version.
Forgive me if this is a dumb question, but I was just wondering if it is safe too use or if it is indeed a kind of unstable pre-release?

And as I created this account after just reading here for a long time, I just want to thank you all (especially laurent) for creating this great piece of software!

Yes, only stable releases go to the play store

Ok, thank you

I guess that this is only an "admin thing" but the OP is right in that android-v2.10.8 is being provided through the PlayStore but android-v2.10.8 is still showing as a pre-release on GitHub.

pre-release

The APK linked on joplinapp.org is therefore the last tagged full release, android-v2.9.8.

Not an Earth-shattering problem but a valid point for those who want to ensure that they only use releases tagged as stable / full release.
