What issue do you have?
Hi, I'm using this old version without the Trash can because I have to keep one Win7 machine. And I deleted a note with a lot of screenshots - while using Joplin on that machine. I think I found that *.md file in Dropbox, judging from the fact that it's much bigger than all the rest. But as the files are encrypted in Dropbox (much appreciated!), importing it using File > Import > MD-Markdown results in a note with encrypted content. Is there a way to "undelete" that my note by means of importing & decrypting the *.md file? Thank you for your help!

A quick search brought me this thread…HTH!
Thank you. One thing it says is: "You should have a database.sqlite
file". I'll see if I can find this in the Dropbox. I also wonder if all this is applicable, given that the uploads to Dropbox are encrypted with public/private keypair. But it gave me an idea to search the forum just for "Dropbox". And that yielded 30 results along the lines "How to decrypt the encyrpted data that is synced in dropbox?". So now I have some reading to do...
If you have another PC which you can use the latest version of Joplin desktop on, then you can download the Joplin folder from Dropbox, then set up file system sync to sync to this downloaded directory on your PC and enter the decryption password when prompted. Then you can recover it from the recycle bin and export it
THAT, is a great idea! I have Joplin 3.2.13 on Fedora 41. Plus, in fact, I can try this in a VM too. Thank you sir! Will report how it goes.
