Error:request to https://api.joplincloud.com/api/sessions failed, reason: self signed certificate in certificate chain

Raising this issue due to a lack of solutions and relevant engagement on other threads.

I am using Joplin on Android (personal device, unmanaged), and on Windows 11 desktop (company issued & managed laptop), for both personal and work notes.

The issue only shows on desktop and is making sync unusable. The desktop internet connections are (at least partially) routed through the employer's servers, even when the VPN client is not connected, which I suspect is what causes the issue.

I've tried various "solutions" found on the web but nothing seems to work. Please provide support.

I don't think there is anything you can do to be honest, if that's the case. But in general you should be very careful about mixing work and personal notes, and only use apps and services approved by your employer for work
