What issue do you have?

I'm unable to paste images to Joplin whether it's screenshots or copying images from Writer.

I'm running linux mint 21.3 and have had no issues before when taking screenshots and pasting them into my Joplin notes. I was using 3.1.24 previously. When the issue persisted, I upgraded to 3.2.12, but no change.

After upgrading an guest linux OS in VirtualBox 7, I can no longer paste images into Joplin. When I am using the flameshot or screenshot apps from my linux mint host machine (not screenshot apps from the virtualbox guest), I can successfully paste those images into LibreOffice Write or Drawing, just not Joplin. Also, I can copy images from Joplin to Libre Writer.

I can copy & paste text into Joplin without any issues.

What happens when I Ctrl-V? nothing. there is nothing pasted into the note. When I try to right-click, the Paste option is enabled and I select it, but again, nothing is pasted into the note.

Any ideas? This seems like something simple, but not sure else it can be. And I've rebooted.

Ubuntu 24.04: I tried copying image both libreoffice writer and screenshot app -- there's no such issue.

For log reference,

  1. I pasted plain text to my Note successfully.
  2. I took a screenshot and attempted to paste but nothing was pasted

I tried again using Flameshot and Screenshot and pasting worked from the Screenshot app. But still nothing from Flameshot.

When watching the log console during my flameshot paste attempt, there were no entries.

I installed flathub version 12.1.0 of Flameshot and tried to paste the screenshot -- all of the attempts (window, full screen, part of screen) pasted in Joplin successfully.

Seems there might be something wrong with clipboard software or flameshot version.
