What issue do you have?

My Android app updated this morning - to 3.4.5 (prod, android).

I created a new note, and on my Linux desktop PC it says "Some items cannot be decrypted".

It seems that this is affecting all new notes created in Android. Is there an encryption mismatch?

Update the Linux app as well. A new encryption method is now enforced in the latest version, so you need to update all your clients now that the Android app is updated

OK I realised the problem is I must have initially installed Joplin using the AppImage from the downloads page, so I’ve been using that version from December last year the whole time!

Even though I have a separate version of Joplin being installed by the package manager.

The version installed by the package manager is in /usr/bin/joplin-desktop but the version I’ve been running (with a quick launch icon) is installed in /home/myname/.joplin/Joplin.AppImage.

Anyway, I guess I’ll just delete that version since I don’t need it. The version installed by the package manager is 3.3.13 and it decrypted everything. Also seems to sync much faster!

I have the same problem with Mac & Andoid. Any notes I create or edit on Android become encypted and unreadable on Mac.
I have upgraded to the latest versions on both platforms. Stiil the same.
In addition, on my MacBook Joplin has become unusably slow.
Many thanks for info or suggewtions

Just after i posted thie above Joplin itself popped up with a message saying I was using the intel version on a Mac chip, and gave me the link to the cortrect version. Problem solved.
