Question:
When I do a search for some topic, in this case "quotes" the search field does not produce any results. But if I remember a name used in the body of the text - boom!- the page shows up. Am I missing something in how to search? Does the search field ignore tags?

@Oaklandr welcome to the forum.

You would search tag:quotes.

Searching syntax is explained here.

thanks for the speedy reply and help. I'll also read up the Searching Syntax link. BTW, can't there be a universal check programmed in at the app level so non-expert users of this excellent app can use it without learning the search syntax?

What do you mean by "universal check"? You can use goto anything if you want have a more general search - notebooks, tags etc.

Sorry, what I meant was to use a search term, word without deciding if it was in a tag or in the body of the text. That can't be difficult to program, right?

While the current model may be more efficient and logical, it imposes a learning curve on the casual/minimal user.

Well this is where goto anything comes in more, you don't have to remember special terms - only # for tags and @ for notebooks.
