Take new note from command line

I just started using Joplin desktop and it looks quite good. I'm looking for a way to make a new not using a keyboard shortcut/command. Basically I type a command and it opens the application in a new note. Is this possible?

I don't know if there is one for the main app but you can do this fairly easily with the terminal/CLI version:

$ joplin use "My notebook"
$ joplin mknote "My note"

It would be nice to have an equivalent to the Evernote "ctrl + alt + n" to launch note creation so long as the app is running in the background somewhere (unless it already has it and I've just not noticed).
