What issue do you have?
Hi,
I am a new user and like using Joplin on my iphone.
I set up Joplin Server on my local network at http://tiny.lo cal:22300 and set myself up as a user.
I had problems syncing the iphone and read some comments that on ios it needs to connect to https://
I did some reading on configuring the Joplin Server and set it up as https:// tiny.local.
It no longer works, on https:// the browser says it is unable to connect.
On https:// :22300 the browser says "
Secure Connection Failed
An error occurred during a connection to tiny.local:22300. SSL received a record that exceeded the maximum permissible length.
Error code: SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG"
I can see I need to do something differently. What should I try?
Thanks in advance, Rbert

Hello whi4 and welcome to the forum...
Not the direct solution but maybe it could give you ideas:
"How to fix synchronisation issues"
"https://belginux.com/installer-joplin-avec-docker/" (use translation)
Hi Steph
Thanks for your suggestions.
My installation seemed to go OK, and I also have the Network Error that is mentioned in the first article.
I have read that this error is common with ios and the iphone and have read that ios needs Joplin Server to be setup as https://
The installation note uses http:// for a local network address.
I am asking how to set up https:// a local network address. It does not seem to work by using https:// instead of http:// for a local network address.
I am looking forward to using Joplin...
Regards, Robert

Hi again,
I could really do with some assistance.
Do I really need to sync my iphone to the server to recover the joplin files I have created on the iphone?
I had imagined that I could use joplin on the iphone, ipad and macbook but I do not seem to be getting anywhere myself.
I had started some writing on the iphone and would like to continue it, but time is passing by. Pretty soon I will look into alternatives.
Kind Regards,
Robert
