Sync between desktop and phone

How do I sync notes between my desktop and my phone? I authorized the same dropbox account (I am pretty sure they are the same, but I don't see where I would check the account that is used. It is weird it is not listed in the settings.)

None of the notes I have on my desktop appear on my phone when I synchronize.
Below synchronize it says:

Completed: [recent date]
Last error: Error: POST files/list_folder: Error (409): {"error_summary": "path/not_found/..." , ...}

The Sync status shows mostly 0's:

Folder: 0/1
Resource: 0/3.

Desktop:
Joplin 1.8.5 (prod, linux)
Ubuntu 20.04

Mobile:
Joplin 2.1.4
Android 10

How would I find a complete log?

Mobile: Configuration > EXPORT DEBUG REPORT
Desktop: The log.txt is stored in your joplin profile.

Tools > Options

The log is too big to be allowed to be uploaded, so here is only the last part of it.
log_shared.txt (1.4 MB)

Note that the log is not at all anonymized nicely with usernames visible in the directory names so I am not really comfortable with having to share this publicly (I did replace this but I probably overlooked some other identifier). (I tried looking for a private message option but it seems this forum does not allow it.)

As I am not familiar with dropbox sync, I can say little about it.
Has the App or Joplin folder been renamed in Dropbox?
