Is there a simple way to make single spacing the default for Joplin for all notes? I've spent days trying to look for a solution, including Perplexity AI, this forum, and can't find anything for a simple layperson non-techie to do. I don't want to continue to have to do Shift enter every time, and for copied notes, to spend hours removing all the double spacing. All I've seen refer to paths to get to the CSS to paste a code, that I don't even see on Joplin , eg Tools > Options > Advanced Settings, and other paths, and none of them even exist.
Can anyone please post a current, simple step by step instructions for a non-techie? And while I'm on this topic, why would they do a default that is double spaced?? Can we request a simple single space option, like every other note app in the world would use? Thank you!
Am aware of that, if you are doing a short note yourself, it’s workable. But when you copy a note into Joplin and there’s dozens of lines to fix, it is a huge time waste and and a pain.
It seems there’s a way to copy a code but everything I find doesn’t work… the paths don’t even exist…
If you need to paste paragraphs of text into a note from another app what happens if you do the pace with the markdown editor being the default editor? Then, switch over to the wysiwig editor.
Give that a try because it behaves differently than the wizzy wig editor you don't need to do a shift enter in that environment.
When you copy content with images, the wysiwyg editor allow you paste into your note with images, but with double spaces. If you use the markdown editor, images don't get pasted.
