why does using Enter once result in two line breaks?

I think we are a lot to ask ourselves this question about the Rich Text Editor and to try to find a way to avoid that with no success ( except with [SHIFT] [ENTER] ).

Single Spacing as standard default for all notes

Operating system macOS Joplin version 14.2.1 Desktop version info Joplin 3.1.24 What issue do you have? Is there a simple way to make single spacing the default for Joplin for all notes? I've spent days trying to look for a solution, including Perplexity AI, this forum, and can't find anything for a simple layperson non-techie to do. I don't want to continue to have to do Shift enter every time, and for copied notes, to spend hours removing all the double spacing. All I've seen refer to paths…

Among many things I tried this :

but I never see a modification of behaviour in the RTE.

I would be very cool to have [ENTER] = one line only.
(of course it will create a new paragraph in the same time except if we use [SHIFT] [ENTER] ).

Any pluggin able to do that ?
