What issue do you have?

1、Hello everyone, I’m a user of an older version of Joplin—I’m currently still using version 2.13.14. Can I upgrade directly to the latest version, or do I need to upgrade to an intermediate version first?

2、I’m not a fan of frequent updates. Which of the recent versions would you recommend the most?

3、I’m a Mac user. Where are Joplin’s local files stored? I’d like to back them up before upgrading。

  2. Major releases are usually intended for larger features or breaking changes. Someone else may be able to speak more about that though.
  3. They are stored in a SQLite database in ~/.config/joplin-desktop. You can do a backup Joplin Plugins - Backup . You can also perform an export Importing and exporting | Joplin
