I’m using the development version of the Portable app. It gives me a popup saying version .91 is out, which is correct, though the download seems to link to the desktop version.
I suggest either removing the update check from the next Portable version (at least until it leaves Dev mode and a proper channel is established), or replacing it with a link to PortableApps.
Second question: Should I be opening GitHub issues for PortableApp-related queries like this one?
Thanks.
The PortableApp is not yet officially released so reporting bug here is fine. Ok update issue, it’s noted.
Hi. Sorry if I posted in the wrong place, but I think it's related to this topic.
I'm using the portable version of Joplin. When a new version is released and I click on "download", I always get the desktop version installer.
Would it be possible to have the portable version loading the portable version instead? Or having, instead of "download", a link to the portable version?
Anyway, Joplin is a great application, so once again thank you for the fantastic work done.
hm that's weird; I just got the update prompt today, and it downloaded the portable one as usual. (I'm on the beta branch.)
Maybe I'm wrong, but when I clicked on "download", I got "Joplin-Setup-3.6.14.exe", and when I go to the website and download the portable version, I only get JoplinPortable.exe that I can put it in my Joplin folder, replacing the former .exe.
Still the same : a Windows telling there's a news version, do I want to insall it ?
Download of Joplin-Setup-3.6.15.exe
I had to go to the website to get the JoplinPortable.exe file.
