I wanted to use Note Tabs or Favorites plugins to create a list of todo's that need to be worked on today. They work for this on the device that I am currently working at, but I find that the plugins, and their settings, or items listed don't sync to other devices.
am I missing a setting? doing something incorrectly?
Is there a different plugin that might work better for me?
I realize that I could use tags. but tags can't be re-ordered and tag list only isn't visible when working on a different item.
If you don't already use the to-do note type, would temporarily using it for your desired notes work for you? That way, they can sit atop your All notes list across devices and form factors, while also being easily accessible wherever on desktop via your installed plugins.
Another option could be using a tag, title pattern, etc. with a plugin like Note Overview. Inside a note, you could set up a saved search that only lists notes or to-dos with the differentiator you use. You could then put that note in a dedicated notebook higher up in the list for quick access.
Muzak, thanks. I already use to-do note type. I have started using a tag to designate to-do's that are more urgent. but there is the issues that i wrote about.
I installed Note Overview, and looked at the associated pages. I don't see it anywhere in Joplin, (other than a reference to updating it), not get any instruction from its pages about how to use it. So, it is there, but what purpose it serves, I don't know. One of the pages seemed to indicate code that would need to be written into any note that Note Overview will affect. If that is correct, then I won't be wanting to use it.
