What issue do you have?

I created a note in a notebook - the only note - and when I clicked on it later after editing other notes, the note just disappeared. I briefly saw the "delete" popup but when I went to the trash, the note is not there. The deletion log is useless since it doesn't include the name. When I search for the name, that pages does not appear wither.

On the desktop app, in the menu there is an open command pallet option. If you open that and type ‘restore note from revision’, using that option you can restore the note using the note id which is in the deletion log

It says there is no revision. I tried the note name and the ID from the deletion log. I’m just going to recreate the note from memory.

Ah, apologies. What I suggested wont work if the note was deleted by the sync. Have a look in the recycle bin on onedrive and see if you can find a file matching the id. Then you can restore it

Please note: Even after restoring the file, Joplin will not detect the file has been restored. Either you can create a new profile and resync all your data, or if you have a lot of data and don’t want to spend ages doing a sync, you could download the entire Joplin directory from OneDrive, then create a new profile on Joplin (desktop) and point it to the downloaded directory from OneDrive. After it has completed sync (will be much quicker than with OneDrive directly), you can export the note you need and import it into your main profile.

Also would you mind taking a chunk of the full log file at around the time where the entry in the deletion log occurred, and posting it here? That might help with determing why this happened. Feel free to redact anything you don’t want to share, but it’s important to see the surrounding log entries for the deletion (lets say, 20 lines before and after the deletion)

I don’t see whatever happened, but it would be in the attached section of the logs.

It looks like the deletion log doesn’t include the deletion of any notes, just revisions. But the other log does show other deletions which likely included the note you lost.

It seems like the deletion was triggered in the ui somehow (as you mention you saw deletion a message). As it’s not clear what the id is of the note you lost, you could still try my suggestion of restoring from the OneDrive recycle bin, but instead restore all files in the bin which where deleted on the same day as which you lost the note
