What issue do you have?

I use the Markdown editor in Joplin. The maximum width of the editor is set to zero. Lines that are longer than the window are automatically wrapped by Joplin in the editor. How can I prevent this? I would like the lines to be wrapped only manually. For longer lines, I would like a horizontal scrollbar. Is this possible? I couldn't find anything suitable.

Illustration

Without horizontal scrollbar there's an automatic resize of lines according to available space. It happen if we add more and more text or if we we toggle columns (notebooks, lists)

With no notebook list and no notes liste:

Never see a scrolbar function... But maybe a plugin is doing that ?

Maybe you should put that topic in "feature" category and not in "support" category because it's not a bug.

Ok, thanks. I just wanted to clarify whether it is possible in some way and I just haven't found the function. I'll post this as a feature request.

You just have to select the feature category in the present post (pencil near the title). You don't need to recreate one !!!

Oh, sorry, my mistake, unfortunately too late; I've already created a new post: No automatic line breaks in the Markdown editor

by the way: i don't have a pen button on the above post and therefore no possibility to edit the post

Strange ! Are you logged in ?

Are you logged in ?

yes

No idea !
Try to use your wheel mouse at the level of the title of your topic in order to be sure to be on the top of the page. Otherwise it's possible to have the title without the pencil

Sorry, this shouldn't get out of hand here. My actual question wasn't about whether you can edit posts here. I had already looked at the page code, I don't have a button for editing posts. I suspect that this has to do with my permissions here in the forum. Anyway, I now know that it is possible in principle to edit posts retrospectively and I will pay attention to that. Thanks again for the tip.
