EDIT: By the way, I’m using a Samsung S6 with Nougat.
this should be replaced at the end of the sync process.
Scroll all the way down in the left sidebar. Check out the sync status. If it’s ‘Syncing’, or still ‘Decrypting’, just wait.
The decryption takes some time. When it’s finished, the ‘Encrypted’ placeholders should be replaced by your content.
It’s had time to sync for days now. The tags still say “Encrypted”.

Were you able to resolve this issue? I’m having the same problem. I had removed Joplin from my phone and reinstalled it. Now that syncing is complete, the title of each note book is “Encrypted” but the notes within them are visible.
