What issue do you have?

I need to see what would be involved in migrating away from the sync server.

I am trying to connect Hermes Agent to my Joplin Notes so that the AI can act on my notes. However, I have long since lost my login credentials for the sync server, which runs in a container.

Hermes can't connect via the API key, either.

So, I'd like to get rid of the sync server and simply use SyncThing to sync my notebooks/notes as markup files. I use Joplin Notes on both my Linux machines and my Android phone. I do have syncthing working already.

Can this be done? Is there anything I need to watch out for. Any how-to advise?

All you need is a JEX export of your notes to start over. One is automatically done every day by default.
