My cat walking over my keyboard and messed something up

Im using Joplin on MacOS 10.11 El Capitán.
It works great, but last night my cat walked over my keyboard and now everytime i type something in spanish and i need to put a tilde (áéíóú) it copies the previous full paragraph. right after i put the Tilde. So i have to delete that paragraph and keep typing, but spanish have many words with Tildes so it gets annoying pretty quick.

I dont know what my cat did, but i dont know how to fix it.

I have a latin american spanish keyboard. The key to put tildes is the one after the Ñ

Im not using an apple keyboard.
I could use some images but im not allowed to put links.

I could use some help please.

Someone reported this strange bug before but I could never replicate it. Maybe just a reboot would help?

yes if you want. There's already an issue about this actually, but I can't find it. If you can find it, it's even better. We can re-open if it's closed.

Wow, I thought I was going crazy. Something very similar happens sometimes with an Italian keyboard.
