I cannot set the keyboard shortcuts for Back/Forward note navigation to my mouse back/next buttons
That’s what I mean by the buttons
The topic was hot a few years ago
And somebody suggested Clavier, but I’m afraid it would interfere with other applications as well?
Hi
currently it's not possible to put shortcuts on mouse buttons. IMHO, this would be immensely useful for the forward and back functions, which are by default set to clunky key combinations (ctrl+left/right arrow).
Enabling (additional?) mouse shortcuts would be immensely helpful, and would e.g. match my user experience in the web browser or the file explorer. (/feature suggestion)

If your mouse has software for programmable buttons, you can, e.g., assign the keyboard shortcut for Back to a button. I do this with my Elecom mouse.

But Firefox uses different shortcuts, Jetbrains suite uses different shortcuts, and Joplin uses different. And I don’t want to change my workflows just because Electron doesn’t support mouse accelerators. I think it’s on Electron, not on me in this case.
I found a thread from 2017/2021, I don’t know how relevant it is as of now https://stackoverflow.com/q/47392295/7769052 .
