Media detection only available on upload?

I uploaded an ogg file which mistakenly didn't have the correct file extension to one of my notes, and the media player didn't show. In order for it to display as media, I had to add the extension and then re-upload the note. Is there any way to force joplin to re-detect? Maybe there is a better way of auto-detecting the filetype?

also, fyi, the preview for mkv files has a play button but offers no playback unlike the ogg file which will play properly
