What issue do you have?

When I move the cursor in the text, either by backspacing or using the arrow keys, the next letter typed is capitalized, as if I typed "." and double-spaced. I have auto-capitalization turned off on the Mac, and it does not seem to be happening in any other apps. Is this a Joplin bug?

I don't think so, my macos version of Joplin does not do it.
Are you using a key re-mapper on your mac, which has system wide access ? may be dormant and not used for a long time ?
