What issue do you have?

Somehow tens of folders called ".-1.config", "-2.config", "-3.config" etc. are created in my home directory. Latest is -108.config, but it might grow... The folders always look like -26.config\joplin-desktop\tmp\joplin_active_backup_job\notes_resources and there are some numbered files without extension inside. So it looks to be related to the backup functionality. Any idea what is creating these folders and why?

I found out it's probably related to the temporary export path that the backup plugin uses. If I change that to .joplin.tmp, I get folders ".joplin-1.tmp", ".joplin-2.tmp" up to
".joplin-18.tmp", created when I create one backup.

So to me it looks like a bug, maybe 2:

  • Temporary files are not created in the temporary export path
  • Temporary files are not deleted when the backup is completed

Not sure if this post should be here, or under "Plugins"...
