Launch directly to new note

I want to be able to define a keyboard shortcut in Gnome desktop that will directly open a new note window. Is there a way to accomplish this?

Try a little detour, use another app on your device to open a new note window every time needed (on Android try "drafts", similar available on other systems), and create your new note on the fly. Later copy it into Joplin.
What looks like extra work at first will later make a lot of sense and be faster anyway. Don't believe it, try it.
