What issue do you have?

I have been trying to make the suggestion from @zimmer in this Support topic work, without success: Jumping to a section of a note from another note .

I want to jump from Note 2 to a specific location in Note 1. According to the advice in the above-referenced note, the following should work:

Note 1: [whatever I want to put here](#whatever-name-I-give-my-tag)
Note 2: [however I want to describe this link to tag in Note 1](β€œ:/3a36db7b2cf442f881ece8824cfa0476#whatever-name-I-give-my-tag”) (please ignore quotes)

Does this just not work, or am I doing something wrong.

TIA for any suggestions,

Marian

Try this (ignore the \ symbols):

Note 1: [Whatever I want to put here]\(#whatever-i-want-to-put-here)\

Note 2: [however I want to describe this link to tag in Note 1](β€œ:/3a36db7b2cf442f881ece8824cfa0476#whatever-i-want-to-put-here)

Thank you for responding.

What you suggest above seems the same as what I have been trying. Maybe there is some subtle difference that's not registering with me?

Exact thing that is not working (ignore the \):

Note 1: [Wraps]\(#wraps)

Note 2: [wraps]\(:/3a36db7b2cf442f881ece8824cfa0476#wraps)

The section marker in note 1 is set using a header. So if you have a header somewhere in the first note that is, for example,

## Important Information

You can access it from another note using the first note's Markdown link with the header text appended to it.

[Link Description](:/a99201ec48c74445a56e172d8757efae#important-information)

The appended section / header link starts with a #, is the text of the header in lower case, and any spaces are replaced by a hyphen.
