What issue do you have?

Joplin is racing the CPUs on my high end M3 MacBook Pro. The application is virtually unusable now. I can click on something and not get a response from Jopin for upwards of 10 seconds. Please advise.

Maybe due to OCR? Do you see any activity in the console? joplinapp.org/debugging

If there are a large number of notes/notebooks, automatic backups can slow Joplin down. In this case, increasing the backup interval in settings > backup, or disabling automatic backups may help improve performance.

@laurent @personalizedrefriger I've tracked this down to a note with a significant number of images. Once I went past a dozen images it makes Joplin virtually unusable. I can click in the body and it takes upwards of 10 seconds to repsond. I have synchronization disabled and do it manually.

It makes the whole app slow all the time, or only when you open the note?

And would you be able to share that note so that we can replicate the issue?

It makes Joplin crawl when viewing or editing the note. Happy to share it with you. Just let me know where to send the link.

I've sent you a PM
