Yes!

I think on my side there is a problem that should be solved urgently

which is...?

...was a joke

I have a problem for a few days and wanted to draw attention to it

The date of notes were modified errouneously. It seems quite a lot of notes have beem attributed the date 01/01/2022 at about 23:00.

On Joplin Cloud?

Yes

The beta is now closed. The beta program helped narrow down a few issues and should make Joplin Cloud (and Joplin Server) more reliable. More precisely:

  • About 7 bugs have been fixed, including two major ones regarding sharing, and one security issue.

  • About a dozen improvements, new features and optimisations have been added following your feedback.

As promised if you have a beta account you can keep using it and it will remain free for the three months after the account was created. After that, you will receive a link to start the Stripe subscription if you wish to keep using the account.

If you have sent me an email before the end of the beta and I didn't reply yet, I will do so soon, and will send you the confirmation email.

Thanks everyone for participating!

Where is the Joplin Cloud servers hosted? US, UK?

Will Joplin cloud accept bitcoin or other cryptos in the future?

For anyone with a beta account, if you would like to keep using it after the end of the trial period, there is now a button to do this from the Joplin Cloud home page:

If you click on it you will be sent to the Plans page via a special link. Then once you click on "Buy now" you will be sent to the Stripe page where you can start the subscription. As mentioned in the message, the process takes into account your remaining beta trial days. So for example, if your beta account expires in 60 days, the subscription will have a free 60 days trial period. This is so you don't lose any of the beta trial days no matter when you start the subscription.

If you have any question about it, please let me know.

In fact, if you have a beta account, even if you don't plan to keep using it, is there any chance you could try the workflow, in particular to check if the trial period is set correctly?

You can stop at the Stripe page so you don't need to input any card details, but that should tell you if the trial period is correct (it's displayed on the left sidebar). If anyone could try this and let me know that would be great.

I followed the instructions, but my first comment is that I am currently on the "pro" trial, and it only gives me the option to upgrade to the "pro" subscription.

Now that is not an issue because I plan to keep it, but... for the sake of argument, I would prefer to have that choice  So I haven't gone further just yet... or is it because I have more storage than allotted in the basic plan?

Another question, again for the sake of argument: what if I have larger attachments uploaded in the past and want the basic plan, would I need to delete those before downgrading, or how does that work?

Edit: oh to answer your question, I think the trial trial number of days is set correctly (it says 50).

Downgrading is only partially supported which is why it doesn't show up in the Plans page. I'm not sure how to handle this yet - as it is, if someone downgrade and their account exceeds the limits, they'll end up immediately blocked, which is not great when you've just paid for something. So until a proper solution is in place, downgrade is not directly possible.

If needed I can do it on request though, provided doing so doesn't block the account.

Good to know, thanks for checking!

Ok I have signed up for real now. It feels good to support Joplin AND get some convenience in return

A few more observations now that it's fresh in my mind: I selected Google Pay and it went without a hitch.

The confirmation page needs some prettying up, at first I thought it looked like a database error. It needs some TLC such as an image or two and some CSS:

And lastly, I didn't get any email notification. It's sort of kinda expected when you sign up for a service, so I would suggest you send an email with at least the details of what you signed up for, what payment you selected and when the first amount of $... will be taken, plus renewal terms (monthly/yearly) etc. And of course a big sloppy thank you for choosing Joplin

In the webpage Joplin Cloud Plans | Joplin I cannot find a way to log in using the credentials used in the beta program. I don't get how transitionning from beta program to joplin cloud plan works.
