Joplin works great on my personal devices, but I purposefully divide notes into public and private. This allows me to sync the “public” technical notes that I use for both work and personal projects to my work laptop without also exposing private information ( bank accounts, SSN, etc) on my employer’s laptop.
Sharing the public folder on my personal account with an account I made for work on the Joplin Server is working for now. But I’m thinking of syncing that folder and subfolders with my Bookstack wiki server in case my employer decides to block syncing. They are continuously add more system scanners and restricting access to more and more applications, so I feel like it’s not an if but a when.
I’ve seen the Obsidian to Bookstack sync tool, and I wonder if anyone knows of a similar 3rd party tool for Joplin and Bookstack. Not that I can write one of the proper APIs exist, but my programming project backlog is already huge, so it will be a long time before I can get to it.
If you read this far, I appreciate it. This is a very corner case question, which is why I put it in lounge.
