What issue do you have?
I had to change my OneDrive password. How do I update my OneDrive credentials in Joplin? I don't want / need to start over, just update the password so it'll resume syncing -- Both desktop and Android.
Did you try pressing the sync button manually? It normally would request login when you do that if the authentication is no longer valid
I hadn't but it worked when I tried that. I couldn't remember how to force a password update.
I got this notice on both desktop and Android, but I assume it's legit since there was nothing new to sync?

Last error: Fail-safe: Sync was interrupted to prevent data loss, because the sync target is empty or damaged. To override this behaviour disable the fail-safe in the sync settings.
I like having fail-safe enabled and did not disable it. I assume as changes are made syncs will get up to date.
So it just occurred to me...
I cleared out a bunch of accumulated junk in OneDrive and I may have deleted the Joplin sync data. I thought about that but assumed Joplin would just repopulate it.
I get the same error when I try to force sync. Do I need to temporarily disable Fail-Safe, sync, then turn it on again (for each platform)? Probably not a bad idea to make a copy of my .config/joplin-desktop folder first, too.
Whatever you do don't disable fail-safe, or you will lose the data on your device as well, if you have genuinely deleted it on the server.
On the desktop app on a device which has your complete data set, make a full jex backup of your data first, and you could backup .config/joplin-desktop too. Then try using this option:
Open Joplin.
Go to Tools → Options (Windows/Linux) or Joplin → Settings (macOS).
Select Synchronization on the left.
Scroll down to the Advanced section.
Look for “Re-upload local data to sync target”.
OK, thanks. It's running now.
I had the right idea but the wrong way to go about it.
