Hiding UI elements

Is there a way to (1) hide the big "+" add new notebook button in the notebook list bar (while keeping the collapse button; and (2) hide the add new to do button while keeping the add new note button in userchrome.css?

I think there is a way. You could try this one to hide the "new todo" button (not sure if it's up-to-date):

By the way, are there keyboard shortcuts for the collapse notebook list to first level button and the add new note button?

You can see the shortcuts at Tools > Options > Keyboard Shortcuts:

• New Note: Ctrl + N
• Expand/Collapse Notebooks: I couldn't find this one. Maybe it's not available or I just didn't see it.
