You mean in diagrams? If so Mermaid would work: https://joplinapp.org/help/apps/markdown/#diagrams

Emojis are also a solution depending on what you mean

Possibly use Unicode characters?

Convert "->" to "→"

Your Samsung is possibly recognising what you have written and replaced it with a unicode character. You can use unicode characters in Joplin so therefore it would show in your Joplin clients. Unicode Symbol U+2190 ← U+2191 ↑ U+2192 → U+2193 ↓ U+1F844 🡄 U+1F845 🡅 U+1F846 🡆 U+1F847 🡇 That are many, many more than the few shown above.

Interesting Font for Code

Back in May19 @bladewolf55 mentioned in a post the font Fira Code. This was recently highlighted by @bedwardly-down on GitHub who suggested I post this on the forum. Basically using this font as your editor font, as well as in userstyle.css as a font for code blocks, adds quite a lot of interesting functionality to Joplin.
