FR: Add end-to-end encrypted syncing

Joplin is pretty good I think it has nice markdown features and it has a sick theme which I really like. However the downside is that it doesn't really have its own inbuilt syncing like Standard notes does. Yes I get it you can use Dropbox, however Dropbox has privacy issues and for Android since afaik Dropbox doesn't store files on the device, I don't think this is the best idea.

Additionally just like with Standard notes, I wish it would support device encryption for Windows, Mac, Android and Linux.

Jopplin has E2EE encryption

Such a weird request. You need a feature but you don't check at all if it exists first.

While I did not realise that it has e2ee, however how would I sync it to my phone when dropbox does not support afaik storing synced files to storage?

Also why am I only limited to Dropbox? Why can I not use other cloud storage such as Mega?

Also Joplin does not support local storage encryption like Standard Notes does!

I don't know, maybe the link posted above would help?

why am I only limited to Dropbox?

Because you are not?

Oh good, you managed to find this out by yourself.

You are very funny aren't you? Maybe you should learn to read my entire post next time before criticizing me!

The thing is, the answer to all your questions can be found in the forum, so why not start there? For encryption, the post just right next to yours is all about this. Mega has been discussed countless time too, and for E2EE you've been given a link that explains it.
