Firefox web clipper not in Add-ons store?

I’ve submitted the add-on again with all the changes they’ve asked for, so let’s see what happens.

I'd like to use Brave but I see their sync doesn't currently work and is only for bookmarks. Are there any good browser that supports full sync for bookmark and password at least, and works on mobile and desktop?

I’m not too familiar with the rest of them and haven’t noticed the syncing issue yet. Syncing was not just for bookmarks but passwords, history, Brave Rewards (its revenue scheme where you make a small amount of crypto currency for clicking on select ads), etc. I’m also on the beta branch and haven’t updated a whole lot lately, so good to know.

I just saw that in their doc but maybe it's not up-to-date then:

Brave Sync has been temporarily disabled for all version v1.3 and higher, due to a bug causing issues for many users that we are currently working to resolve now... At this time, Sync only syncs bookmark data between devices with additional functionality to be added in future releases.

I just saw the same too. This is a bit of off-topic here, but that feature was so useful to me that I’m sad they had to remove it for the time being. I was wondering why my two phones weren’t updating their sync. Ha

Also, for those that are recommending Vivaldi, it doesn’t have an iOS app and its Android app is still in early beta. That definitely is a no go for me since I need it on both.

Yes I saw that too, a good mobile app is quite important. Opera seems more promising but I wish it hadn’t been bought by a Chinese consortium, as that doesn’t exactly scream privacy-conscious.

I won’t get into the politics there but China seems to be getting better with that sort of thing, at least in the international markets. Their in country privacy and security is a totally different thing altogether. Ha

I'm currently checking out Yandex Browser. Its mobile apps at least have one thing in common in their reviews: they're funny jabs at Yandex being the Russian Google Killer. I've used other Yandex products in the past, and they were solid, so we'll see.

So, one thing I'm seeing, at least on mobile, is that most of the app is in English but parts weren't translated from Russian and voice recognition features (such as search) are set to only work in Russian. It also has an ugly settings menu but many of Brave's features are built in here.

It's finally back

Your add-on, Joplin Web Clipper 1.0.25, has been approved and is now available for download in our gallery at Joplin Web Clipper – Get this Extension for 🦊 Firefox (en-US)

This doesn't apply to the absolute latest versions of Firefox, but I finally found the extension I was looking for. This only applies to the desktop version of Firefox and requires following a workaround for the time being, but this extension allows Firefox to run Chrome and other web store addons natively. Enjoy.

Awesome. I just installed the Joplin Firefox extension on a new computer. Really missed it and had to save notes on my old computer where Joplin and Firefox were still working together.
Did you find out why the Joplin extension had been removed?

Thank you for this very helpful tool.
