What issue do you have?

I'm not sure if this is a feature request or a support issue; I apologize and beg patience if I'm posting in the wrong place.

I'm looking for a way to export Notebook and Note structure, but without Note content, basically templatizing an entire Profile.

As a specific example, I've gone to the trouble of creating a Bible study profile wherein I've created Notebooks for all of the books and then (initially empty) Notes for all of the given book's chapters (see screenshot); my mom would like to steal it from me. None of the export options seems to do this. Am I missing something?

On a side note, if this functionality isn't there already, I could see this being useful for LOTS of scenarios (college textbook study, course outline distribution, etc.)..

Thanks!

Potential workaround:
export the notebooks in markdown (MD), then search for *.md in file manager and delete all of them

That absolutely works for the export, and it's brilliant, thank you!

Unfortunately, I'm running into trouble with an import; "markdown directory" is only getting me the top-level directory, and "markdown file" doesn't work at all. :pensive:

I see, in that case the workaround going to be slightly more complicated:

  1. export target notebook in JEX
  2. import it into empty Joplin profile
  3. Select all notes (Ctrl+A) in "All notes" and delete them
  4. Export now empty notebook tree in JEX again

Done
