Error after synchronizing: "Missing required property: type_"

I had an image embedded in a note. On the image, right click, reveal location. I drag and drop that file back onto the note, forcing a resize down to 1920x I think. Then I deleted the original image, then saved the note. Now this message displays.

I have found this thread which seems to point at errant EOL characters but I find none in the note which I edited. Sync error: "Missing required property: type_:" - #33 by Derkades

How do I identify which notes/tasks/resources which return this message?

on PC running JoplinPortable.exe from a USB.

Unfortunately the error message doesn't give the item ID. Could you do a text search for eg %mzԷ= in your sync target file to find out which .md file is causing this error? And if you could share that file here maybe we can make sense of it.

How do I identify the "sync target file"?

You need to do a text search across all the files in your sync target. To do that you need something like grep, or open the sync target folder in VSCode for example. The file that contains the string "%mzԷ=" is the one you want
