I won't call this a bu, as I was directed to GitHub where my post got stale, and then was redirected to post here. This is more of an annoyance.
Often when I use the web clipper, I'll opt to view the new note immediately.
When I do, Joplin behaves as expected, but my web browser (Firefox, fully updated) spawns a new blank tab such as this:
