What issue do you have?

Emojis fail to export when I'm exporting to a PDF. None of the emojis I use get exported.

Interestingly, when I print it out it physically appears on paper :thinking: :confounded:

I am experiencing the same on macOS

(had to split post due to new-user limits on only one image per post...)

Exported result in PDF (note that it worked fine in the filename even)

Unlike @banan314 my files are never intended to be printed to paper, so we need the PDFs to look correct for students.

I do note though that it looks like if I try to select text, it thinks the emoji is there (which jives with what @banan314 was saying about printing). Are the emojis maybe encoded somehow which is breaking them for PDF readers but then they get re-encoded before printing which makes them look right for printing?

@banan314 maybe file a github ticket about this? GitHub · Where software is built I don't have an account and don't want to make one.
