What issue do you have?
I’ve encountered an issue with Joplin after upgrading from version 3.2.13 to 3.3.9, and I’d like to know if others have experienced the same or if there’s a known fix.
Problem Description: In version 3.2.13, when I drag-and-drop a URL from a browser (I'm using Brave) into a Joplin note in the rich text editor, it correctly formats the link as [page title](URL) in the markdown syntax, where the page title is fetched automatically, and the URL is embedded in the Markdown code. For example, dragging the URL of this forum into the rich text editor would create, in the markdown code:
[Joplin Forum](https://discourse.joplinapp.org/)
After upgrading to 3.3.9, the same action only pastes the raw URL in the rich text note and in the markdown code, without fetching the page title or formatting it as a Markdown link. This breaks my workflow, as I rely on the formatted links for quick organization.
Details:
-
Joplin Version: 3.3.x (issue not present in 3.2.13)
-
Platform: Windows 10
-
Browser: Brave 1.78.94
-
Steps to Reproduce:
- Open Joplin 3.3.x and create a new note.
- Drag a URL from the browser address bar into the rich text editor.
- Observe that only the raw URL is pasted in both the MD editor and the rich text editor.

Workaround: I’ve downgraded to 3.2.13, which restores the previous behavior, but I’d prefer to use the latest version.
