I tested it with Outlook and the email always gets copied into an existing note. If I press ctrl, shift or not makes no difference.
If I "copy" an E-Mail somewhere else in Joplin (like the list of notes or the folder tree) it gets deleted in Outlook but I cannot find it in Joplin anywhere... Not really an issue for me but maybe a question of beauty...
