Is it perhaps planned in a future version of Joplin that in the desktop and smartphone version of Joplin the date on which the note was created can be displayed under each note?

You can reach creation and update date pop-up of that note at the right upper corner of the note window by pressing "i" button.
You can also get there by going to the command palette (ctrl + shift + p) and typing properties. That probably doesn't help you on a smart phone. Neither would a plugin, unfortunately, if someone were to write it.
And I just discovered that doing this also shows you the original link for a note if it came from the web clipper.
