What issue do you have?
Hi,
I'd like to update my (sometimes very old) notes to see their creation date, but as far as I understood, the Tempalte plugin only allow for the {{date}} to be "today" I guess....
Is there a way to get the note_creation_date in a template ? This way, I could apply the template to all my notes, and get their creation date.
Thanks
From what I have seen, template variables only insert information at the time of the note creation. There are not variables that access existing note information.
Rather than insert a template with the creation date into every note, you could try a different note list view?
Go to View > Note list style and select "Detailed". Your note list will then show the note's title and the default is to show the updated date as well. Right-click on the note list column header row and you can select "Created date" and possibly unselect "Updated date". You can also drag the columns into the order you want. This instantly lets you see the creation date for every note. If you do not need this all the time you can just switch back to View > Note list style > Compact until you need it again.
If you only occasionally need to see the creation date you can press the Note properties button

and view it there.
Thanks. I did the detailed view and realized the creation date was probably not a good idea : I had to reimport notes last year, and a bunch of them have the same date and time, and obviously, I didn't create 100+ notes manually in less than a minute
I guess I can decide to start from now with new notes, and only make sure I update at least tags for older notes.
Thanks again for taling the time to reply
